Since it remains unsure whether most of us will be able to travel next summer, the Children's Literature Summer School will be entirely digital.

What

The Children's Literature Summer School offers online lectures and workshops related to books for children and adolescents. Participants choose workshops from four thematic strands: Childhood Studies, Children's Literature in Education, Research Methods, YA Literature.


How

The Summer school will be hosted via Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, the collaborative online learning platform of the University of Antwerp.


When

5-9 July 2021


Who

Master and PhD Students, but also open to more senior researchers and professionals with an interest in children's literature studies. Participants should have at least completed 3 full years of undergraduate education (BA level) by the time of the summer school.


Registration Fee

Early Bird €200

Regular: €250

Fee includes all online lectures, tutoring and interactive workshops, course material and virtual social activities. Technical set-up (stable internet connection, headset, computer and webcam) has to be provided by the participant.


Scholarships

University of Antwerp students are entitled to a refund of €150. Limited number of reduced fees of €50 available for refugees.

Credits

3-6 ECTS credits are awarded upon successful completion of the programme. Note that University of Antwerp students can only register for 6 ECTS.
