Children's Literature Summer School

University of Antwerp, Belgium

1-5 July 2019

The summer school offers a 5-day programme with plenary talks, interactive workshops, excursions, and feedback sessions for PhD students. The themes and speakers change each year. Previous themes include age studies, cognitive studies, research methods, cultural heritage and other media, etc. 2019 will focus on four thematic strands: comic books, diversity, fairy tales, and fantasy.

The course is mainly targeted at MA and PhD students, but also open to more senior researchers and professionals with an interest in children's literature studies. Participants should have at least completed 3 full years of undergraduate education (BA level) by the time of the summer school.

Registration

Fees: €500 / Early bird: €450 (before 1 February)

Registration opens November 1 and closes in April. In previous years, the summer school sold out in February.

Credits

3-6 ECTS credits can be awarded upon successful completion of the programme (including all assessment tasks). Please see the website for more information.
