We are currently soliciting posts for the following categories but are also open to pitches and articles outside these areas:

Interviews with international children’s authors, illustrators, publishers, translators, editors, and scholars

Reviews of primary and secondary sources pertaining to internationalism in children’s literature

Academic treatments or textual analysis of a certain theme, book, author, etc. pertaining to international children’s literature (e.g. analysis of depictions of motherhood in contemporary Australian children’s picturebooks)

Visits to international academic libraries or archives specializing in children's literature
-
Acknowledgement of international holidays (e.g. discussing World Wildlife Day by highlighting international children’s books that discuss wildlife conservation and endangered species)
Contributor Blog Post Guidelines
Posts should be a minimum of 500 words in length, written in English, and accessible to an academic and layperson audience. Please attach your piece as a Word document and include any related images in JPEG format. Contributors are responsible for gaining copyright permission for use of images. Piece must be original and exclusive to the ChLA International Committee Blog. We will not consider pieces that have already been published elsewhere.
