ChLA 2018 Thanks

Thank you to everyone who came and supported the ChLA International Committee and international children's literature in San Antonio. The panel would not have been a success without the tireless work of our committee members Tanja Nathanael, Emily Murphy, Bettina Kümmerling-Meibauer, Lucy Pearson, and Karen Sands-O’Connor. We are grateful for all of your efforts on behalf of international children’s literature and the ChLA International Committee.

A special thank you to our distinguished panelists Ute Dettmar, Daniel Feldman, and Ada Bieber who traveled long distances to join us in San Antonio. All of the scholars attending the panel benefitted from your knowledge and passion for your work.

Tanja Nathanael’s term on the international committee ended at the conference in San Antonio. Tanja has been a member of ChLA since 2008, after she gave a paper on the International Focus Panel on Iceland in Normal, IL. She was a highly active member throughout her term on the international committee 2015-2018, and we are particularly grateful to her for helping to set up this website and blog. Although we will miss Tanja at our meetings, we are happy that she will keep on contributing to the blog and attending future panels.
